There should be a pinky sized gap between your heel and the back the of clog, and plenty of room in the toe box area. The instep will be the snuggest part of the shoe and your heel should lift up slightly out of the shoe as you walk.

Pain in the foot
The shoes appear to be well made and the service so far has been good. The hard part about ordering on line is that you can’t check the fit. The shoe hurt my foot in the arch area and it stared to get numb when I tried it on. I am afraid it will cause me more problems by wearing it so I have to return them.
