There should be a pinky sized gap between your heel and the back the of clog, and plenty of room in the toe box area. The instep will be the snuggest part of the shoe and your heel should lift up slightly out of the shoe as you walk.

Love my clogs! This my second pair Sanita clogs. I wear them with or without socks. The quality of the leather and color is great and they are very comfortable to walk or stand even for longer times. The heel height works well for me as they are not too high - well just great!
