There should be a pinky sized gap between your heel and the back the of clog, and plenty of room in the toe box area. The instep will be the snuggest part of the shoe and your heel should lift up slightly out of the shoe as you walk.
Please note: The khaki leather is highly distressed and there can be wide variations in the leather pattern.
The Margrethe features a waxed khaki-colored leather upper with small cutouts and an adjustable buckle on the strap. This sandal features a padded microfiber insole with an anatomically correct footbed. The polyurethane outsole features a rocker bottom. I love these shoes. I am on my fourth or fifth pair. They are completely comfortable, right out of the box. The only problem I have with them is I wear size 35 and it is becoming increasingly difficult to find them. I hope you will keep making them.

Size Surprise
I love these sandals (had them in the past and wore them to death), but had a bit of a size surprise. I’ve been wearing 39 in Sanita clogs for years, but the 39 in these (and the other pair I ordered) were definitely too short. (I actually got out my clogs and double checked the size.) The 40s are just a hair too long, but not so much that I will trip or anything like that so I’m keeping ‘em and will happily wear them.

Just what I wanted
Well actually I wanted other colors, but I took what I could get! Many years ago I had an older version of this shoe, and I wanted to replace the worn-out pair. I had been admiring the Margrethe for a long time, but moved too slow and the beautiful light blue and cinnamon/rust colors were gone. I purchased the Khaki, which is more of a sage green, and that suits me fine. Still one of the cutest shoes ever made, IMO! And also very practical for its closed toe with side vents, and overall comfort. Liked the fast delivery, too!
My US size is a 7, and I always buy EU 37s.
