There should be a pinky sized gap between your heel and the back the of clog, and plenty of room in the toe box area. The instep will be the snuggest part of the shoe and your heel should lift up slightly out of the shoe as you walk.

This is my second pair of Sanita clogs in a year. I am on my feet most of the day, and have 3 years of arch support systems for Achilles heel and other foot problems wearing mostly NB, Brooks shoes. As I move away from those types of shoes & arch supports, I'm finding these clogs to be supportive without restriction, loose and not tight across the top of the foot. They about the only shoe I am wearing this summer and my feet and legs (knees) feel great!

I suddenly can't find shoe that fits, returned the 4th pair of same shoe different size. I give up, Sanita hasn't giving me a note yet that they received the the last return. Hope they aren't mad that none of the shoe's fit
