There should be a pinky sized gap between your heel and the back the of clog, and plenty of room in the toe box area. The instep will be the snuggest part of the shoe and your heel should lift up slightly out of the shoe as you walk.

Although it may look like wood, our outsole is crafted from sturdy and supportive polyurethane. This works like a shock-absorber between your foot and the hard floor. We've also designed our clogs with a rocker bottom outsole, which mimics the natural motion of your foot and helps it roll off with every step. And, to make it
extra comfortable, we added a microfiber insole, which feels like a soft cloud against your foot but still provides plenty of arch-support.
I returned because the clogs were just a bit too short; I have other pairs in different colors but same size and they fit perfectly. However, I did purchase those clogs from Sanita over a year ago; something is different with the sizing. Because I really love the clogs I've purchased in the past, I actually decided to exchange my recent purchase for a different size. Hopefully, the size up will not be too long. The color is a bit different from the image; they are actually darker and more brownish than pictured. Hopefully my exchange will arrive soon, be a perfect fit, and I can continue wearing Sanitas.
