There should be a pinky sized gap between your heel and the back the of clog, and plenty of room in the toe box area. The instep will be the snuggest part of the shoe and your heel should lift up slightly out of the shoe as you walk.
The Estelle in Polkadot Black features a polyurethane-coated leather upper with a white polkadot print with an adjustable and movable strap, a padded instep and a microfiber insole with an anatomically correct footbed. The polyurethane outsole features a rocker bottom. This style is APMA approved and part of our Professional collection.

These are pretty and appear to be good quality but are not suitable for even a slightly wet tile floor. Still a good shoe and since it doesn't claim to be made for cooks, it still gets 5 stars. My mistake.
Note to Sanita: Please give female cooks a certified slip-resistant clog with style and flare.

I love the look of the open heal clog, and these are so comfortable and easy to wear! The patent leather is so pretty, and the color steel is very versatile with lots of colors in my scrub wardrobe. Wish the heal was a little lower, though.

There are so many lovely Estelle colors to choose from, but I finally decided on the black and white polka-dots. Glad I did. I call them my "happy feet" shoes because they are so supportive and comfortable and fun.
