There should be a pinky sized gap between your heel and the back the of clog, and plenty of room in the toe box area. The instep will be the snuggest part of the shoe and your heel should lift up slightly out of the shoe as you walk.

Loved them but just a bit small.
Usually wear a 40, but these had a snug fit and I like them with a bit more “slip” in them. Even small, they were comfortable on my high instep. Returned for a 41 so hope those are a little bigger.

Best clogs ever
I bought theses clogs as my old Danskos wore out. Tried new Danskos and the fit was off. Not made by Dansko company anymore. Found this clogs, read the reviews and they are made in Poland. Best fit, comfy and looks great.
